"Kehl Japan" is a local community for people who are interested in Japanese language and culture. I host small meetups in the Kehl, Strasbourg and Offenburg area, where people who speak, learn, or are simply curious about Japanese can talk, share, and build connections in a relaxed way.

I have lived in Berlin and Leipzig, and then I moved to Kehl. Since I barely knew anyone here, I wanted to meet new people and build connections in this area. That was the start of Kehl Japan.
I have experience organizing volunteer events, and I also worked in Japan as a company employee. With that background, I wanted to create a friendly place where people in Kehl and nearby cities who are interested in Japan can connect naturally.
Whether you want to practice a little Japanese or simply learn more about Japanese culture, you are very welcome. I hope this community can become a bridge between Japan and Europe and lead to small collaborations and projects in the future.
